Welcome!
The  Saint Agnes Home and School Association Members consist of every parent of our students.  The Home and School Association Committee's goals are the following:  

• The advancement of Catholic education and the welfare of all children educated at Saint Agnes School.
• The promotion of parent-school activities and to increase, on the part of its members, an interest in educational and civil affairs.
• The enhancement of the parents, and teachers’ role in the education of the child.

One of the most important ways of helping our school is by keeping the lines of communication open. We will provide frequent updates about events and news via email, as well as information about ways you can volunteer for various activities around the school. If you have any questions about the school, concerns, suggestions, etc. please email Home and School at: Hands@saintagnesschoolwc.org. The Home and School Committee President, who will respond as soon as possible, monitors that account.

Activities

Due to Covid-19 several of our school activities will not be able to take place this year or will take place virtually.  
We are constantly looking for new ways to achieve these goals, help bring our school families together and support the wonderful staff at our school. Some of the main activities supported each year by the H&S Association are:

• Gal Pal Dance, VIP and Me and Pizza Bingo
• Gallery Walk
• Grandparents Day
• Hospitality Sundays  
• Night of the Arts
• Welcome Back Fair  
• New Family Mentors
• Used Uniform Closet
• Catholic Schools Week Assemblies
• Student Variety Show

Home and School Meetings

In addition to the ongoing activities, there are two specific Home and School  general meetings a year that all parents are encouraged to attend. The topics of these meetings vary from year to year based on the needs of the school community and have included open forums,
professional speakers, financial discussions and safety presentations.

Governance
The Home and School  Association Board, which governs the association, meets monthly and the notes from the meetings are posted on Option C. Everyone is encouraged to review these minutes for up-to-date information on the happenings within the school.

Home and School Leadership Positions

Aside from being elected to the Board, there are a number of other leadership positions
available to help support the H&S Association. Some of the main Committees include:

• Decorating
• Hospitality
• Enrichment
• Ways and Means
• Voluntary

We are always looking for volunteers and support as we work to provide a great
experience for the Saint Agnes School Community.

Financial Support
At the start of every year each family pays a flat $100 per family Home and School fee. This was instituted a few years back to try and avoid the burden of ongoing fundraisers throughout the year, like wrapping paper or candy sales. Families are able to have their $100 fee refunded to them, by earning that same amount through our Scrip program. 

"Fun"-raisers

We also support various “fun”-raisers during the year. These are always optional, include an activity or event and are intended to strengthen the school community.  Some of these items include our VIP and Me or Gal Pal parent-child events, the Angel
Shop, and Dine and Donates at various local restaurants. Our "Fun"-raisers include:

• In School Assemblies and guest speakers
• April reading month,
• Catholic Schools week
• Birthday, Christmas and end-of-year gifts for Teachers and Staff
• Faculty breakfasts
• Hospitality Sundays 
• Grandparents Days
• Classroom start up and ongoing supplies 
• Support for all major school events including our annual Casino Night, The Saint Agnes Golf Outing, and The Saint Agnes 5K Family Fun Run
