Founded by the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters (IHM) in 1872 Saint Agnes School is the oldest elementary school in Chester County.

Students attend Mass monthly as a school and twice a month with their Prayer Partners; attend reconciliation monthly; and prepare various prayer services throughout the year. Second and Seventh Grades are Sacramental years here at Saint Agnes School.

Saint Agnes School was recognized by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as a 2019 and 2020 School of Distinction for exceeding growth expectations or benchmarks in academic achievement via standardized testing. For two consecutive years, Saint Agnes School showed between 90% - 100% growth at every grade level tested in every content area.

Our school has been recognized twice by the Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School (1990 and 2015).

The Class of 2021 earned over $800,000 in academic scholarships as well as scholarships for leadership, service, music and art thus bringing the total amount of high school scholarships to over $3,200,000 since 2016.

Saint Agnes School has produced 19 Neumann Scholars. Initiated in 1995, this scholarship program identifies academically talented eighth grade students and provides four year scholarships to attend one of seventeen Archdiocesan high schools.

We offer honors classes in Math beginning in 5th Grade and English beginning in 6th Grade.

100 % of our Math Honors Students have scored above a 90 percentile on Standardized Testing including High School Scholarship Exams. 100 % of our Math Honors Students have been accepted to the private high school of their choice.

Established as the model Learning Support Classroom for the Archdiocesan Schools located in Chester County, our St. Ignatius Classroom, allows for specialized instruction in an individualized or small group setting for a portion of the school day in the areas of language arts and mathematics for grades 1 to 8 in addition to services provided by the Chester County Intermediate Unit.

Every student participates in our Positive Behavior Intervention & Support (PBIS) Program - Stag Spirit. The program focuses on creating a climate that fosters self-control, perseverance, integrity, respect, inspiration, and teamwork (SPIRIT) to prepare our students for stewardship in the real world.
