For Mrs. Collins' leadership skills, she has received recognition as an outstanding teacher in her community.
Giving witness to faith by sharing the message of Jesus Christ and educating students through a rigorous curriculum relevant to real world experiences in the 21st century defines her purpose for education.
As a teacher, Mrs. Collins sees her role to be to guide her students through the instruction of the curriculum, expose them to new experiences, model the behavior she strives to see in them, encourage them always, but particularly when they lack the confidence to achieve, place reasonable expectations on them, assess, as needed, to show growth and understanding of subject material presented and to teach them to follow the ways of Jesus by respecting others and by being responsible for themselves and their actions.
As a member of St. Elizabeth Parish, Mrs. Collins is a Eucharistic Minister. Her husband, Tim, and she along with their three children have lived in Pennsylvania since they moved here in 1992. It is so true, there is nothing more wonderful than being a grandparent!! Mrs. Collins and her husband are so blessed!
